Hi and welcome to Jumplight Odyssey!
We, League of Geeks Pty Ltd, based in Melbourne, Australia are the Publisher and Developer of Jumplight Odyssey. We welcome you and thank you for joining us and coming along for this wonderful voyage in Jumplight Odyssey. The following bits are important and legal-y, we’ve tried to keep it to a minimum so bare with us.
We invite you to play Jumplight Odyssey and engage with our online community through our various platforms and partner platforms. We want you to enjoy Jumplight Odyssey, a game we’ve spent years pouring our love into. We ask that you always remain a friendly and respectful player when interacting with others in the community, our development and publishing team.
When you play Jumplight Odyssey we create an online account for you, so we can support our online features such as bug reporting, crash reporting and tracking gameplay telemetry, these online features help us diagnose problems and make Jumplight Odyssey better. We never track personal information or any information that’s not relevant to the performance of Jumplight Odyssey. You can opt-out of having an online account using the in-game settings, this will set the game into a silent running mode where it will only receive information online and not send any packets back to us. With respect to international data collection and privacy laws, if you are considered a child in your region, in most regions younger than 13 years old (if in doubt, you should be over the age of 16 years old), you must opt-out of data collection. We cannot collect your personal data, if you are considered a child. This is a legal requirement, not our own invention. You can play Jumplight Odyssey without an online account, cloud saves and any other platform specific features will continue to work such as achievements and automatic updates.
The types of data we collect while you play while opt’d-in are game analytics and tracking tools, we use to find bugs, frequency of bugs in different regions and the type of hardware and system settings those bugs might appear on; We also track gameplay analytics to help balance Jumplight Odyssey, and we use this data to prioritize feature work and improve the player experience. We may store this data throughout the life of Jumplight Odyssey to help us compare the performance of features over time and we may also delete or reset this data at any time. We will make the data anonymous as soon as possible and only store it as long as it's useful and needed. Only those team members within League of Geeks who need access to this data will have access. We use a number of third party tools and services to analyze this data and respond to player support requests.
