Welcome to Poly Beats! Before you start playing, we'd like to outline important information for your safety and ours.
1. User-Generated Content and Legal Responsibility
User-Generated Content includes things that players can make, and/or distribute on our Steam Workshop platform. These can include things such as "Themes" and "Chart-Maps", however are not limited to those things.
While anyone can create these items, we're (5th Step Games) not responsible for any legal implications arising from the creation, distribution, sale, or purchase of User-Generated Content. Any legal issues related to these transactions should be addressed directly between the involved parties. We are not obligated to participate in any legal proceedings concerning User-Generated Content. We do not assume responsibility for any potential copyright infringement resulting from users uploading User-Generated Content to the Marketplace (namely, Poly Beats' Steam Workshop).
3. User Data and Protection
'Beat Accounts' created by players are managed by Steam, by Valve. Obviously assuming the person who created the account is over 13 (as this is required by Steam's EULA.) We prioritize the protection of user data and comply with applicable privacy laws, especially for users under the age of 13, in accordance with COPPA and GDPR regulations.
4. Usage Terms for Poly Beats
By engaging with Poly Beats, whether by playing or downloading software, you agree to abide by our Terms & Conditions. These include refraining from selling the game, engaging in malicious activities, cheating, creating cheat tools, or exploiting user data. Breaching these terms will result in the revocation of access to your 'Beat Account', a VAC ban, or equivalent, and potential actions from the platform or 5th Step Games.
5. Liability Disclaimer
5th Step Games holds no liability for any damages caused to hardware or software by using User-Generated Content within Poly Beats, however we will try our best to moderate our Steam Workshop, as it is our responsibility, we cannot guarantee an immediate removal.
