Why Early Access?

“We want to use the Early Access in order to involve the community and receive player feedback that will help us shape the final stages of development. We are a small team of developers and so we want to get as much input from the community as possible.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are planning to have New York Rat Simulator completed in the first half of 2022. But since we want the game to be a much better experience before leaving Early Access, there is a possibility that we will need to prolong the Early Access period and postpone the full version's release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The initial Early Access version of New York Rat Simulator is equivalent to a fraction of the planned full game as we envisioned it. The full version will contain a much larger map, more collectibles, powerups, and in general, more of everything!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version consists of a small map with collectibles which activate a speed and size modifier which allow the rat to knock down NPCs with greater ease.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We have no plans to increase price post early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Despite our games unfinished state, We have been using our Steam Discussion forums to gather player feedback from those playing the Early Access. And we encourage everyone to especially post any suggestions to improve the game and report any bugs they might encounter while playing.”
