Why Early Access?

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We believe Hideout will remain in Early Access for approximately six months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We want to expand the features of the Early Access version in the final version, adding more content and polishing the existing content. We would like to expand and improve May's adventure through the town, integrating more levels, enemies and interactive objects to complete the game experience. The goal of this project would be to add another hour and a half of content.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access status of this game means that all the elements that make up the general gameplay are included (movement mechanics, hiding, general enemy functionality, throwable items) and the general progression between levels is also designed and tested. However, the systems are not yet perfectly balanced and we still need time and work to reach the experience we want to achieve.

The following content can be found:

• Four functional levels (one in the forest, two in the town and one in the laboratory).
  
• A world set in a post-apocalyptic dystopia.
  
• Craft and use four objects with different functionalities.
  
• Face five types of enemies with different functionalities and behaviors.
  
• Cross the town and get to the lab to save May's little brother.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. The price will not increase, the game will remain free, to give access to as many people as possible to get as many views as possible.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community input is key to the overall development. At Better in Red, we are looking to get as much feedback from players as possible to optimize and polish the Hideout experience.”
