“I plan to keep Piecewise in Early Access for at least a year to make sure I have collected enough feedback on how it should be shaped, and so I have enough time to finish all of the features I plan to ship in the full version.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the full version of Piecewise, I plan to add support for more platforms, better coverage of all of the functionality that comes with each platform, extension blocks, loads of documentation, and feedback from users like you.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The editor itself is finished and you can create, run, and export fully-functional bots. Right now, I'm finishing up and polishing Discord support and starting work on Matrix and Mastodon support.”

Will this software be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“As a thank-you to Early Access participants, Piecewise is priced at a discount. Gradual price increases should be expected as more features are shipped.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I'm enrolling Piecewise in the Early Access program because it is a very customer-focused project. I want to make the product you want to see, and will take feedback received via the Steam Community forums, Discord, and the Fediverse to heart.”
