Early Access Software

Get involved with this software as it develops.

Note: This Early Access software is not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to use this software in its current state, then you should wait to see if it progresses further in development. Learn more

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“While the application is ready in its current state, it is difficult to predict how it will perform on every system. It will likely be necessary to fix bugs that may arise from different system and video combinations. Since video editing is a very complex field, I also expect many suggestions for tools and features to implement, which I plan to add during the early access period.”

Approximately how long will this software be in Early Access?

“We plan to keep the software in Early Access while we develop new options for the tool and refine existing features based on user feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In addition to features that may be suggested by the community, we already have some ideas planned for implementation, such as:

  • Upscalers
  • Improved rendering speed, potentially in real-time
  • Preview of the video being rendered
  • New video codecs
  • Improved interpolation
  • More flexible final FPS.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes all the core features listed in the 'About This' section. Users can currently enjoy motion interpolation functionalities and other implemented tools. Please refer to that section for detailed information on the features available.”

Will this software be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as the score and features of the application grow.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The primary method will be through feedback using the Steam forum, whether for requests for assistance, new tools and features, or simply suggestions for the application. As new features are implemented in the app, the community can also provide feedback on improvements and adjustments to these features.”

About This Software

FrameFusion Motion Interpolation improve the framerate of any video, gif or group of images by 2X/4X/8X/16X

This application that uses neural networks to generate optical flows between two frames of a video. By using these flows, the application merges the frames into a new one, effectively increasing the number of frames in the video output.

The application allows you to select multiple videos, GIFs, or images in formats like PNG/JPG/BMP for interpolation, producing a new video with a higher FPS than the original.

Key Features:
  • Choose from four different models for interpolation: options for live-action or animation, with the ability to render in high quality or with faster speeds.
  • Optimized for Nvidia GPUs with CUDA support but also compatible with AMD GPUs and CPUs.
  • Manage a queue of files for batch processing, with a progress bar to track how long each file will take.
  • For static images like PNG, you can select a folder of files and manually choose an FPS to use.

Export Options:
  • Export Frames: Generates a .PNG file for each processed frame, including the newly interpolated ones.
  • Export Motion Flow: Exports a PNG visualization of the optical flow.
  • Export Video Side-By-Side: Exports the original video alongside the interpolated video for comparison.
  • Export Video Cut in Half: Exports the left side of the video as the original and the right side as the interpolation, split down the middle for comparison.

Video Modifications:
  • Perfect Loop Video: Creates new frames between the last frame and the first frame of a video to create a perfect loop.
  • Remove Static Frames: Especially useful for animations, this option removes static frames to enhance the fluidity of the final video.
  • Skip Scene Changes: Detects scene changes and avoids interpolation to reduce artifacts in these transitions.

Supports frame multipliers, allowing you to output videos with higher FPS. For example, a video with 24fps can be interpolated to:
  • 2X: 48fps
  • 4X: 96fps
  • 8X: 192fps
  • 16X: 384fps

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

The app processes the frames from the video and uses AI to predict how much movement each pixel has along the X and Y axes. The AI model then generates optical flow data for both axes, which are just floating-point numbers for X and Y.

With this information, traditional methods are used to create a new frame by combining parts of the two original frames. The AI doesn't generate new RGB data; it only uses the RGB data from the original frames.

System Requirements

    Minimum:
    • OS: Windows 10
    • Memory: 4 GB RAM
    • Graphics: GeForce GTX 750 Ti
    • Storage: 3 GB available space
    • Additional Notes: This application work better in a Nvidia card that support CUDA.
