“Earthless is launching in Early Access because your feedback and suggestions are essential to making it the best game it can be. Earthless already has polish and great features, but thoughout Early Access we plan to further refine the experience and routinely add new content that'll dramatically expand the strategic depth and enhance the fantasy of leading humanity into the great unknown.

This also isn't our first Early Access rodeo. In 2020, we launched Hardspace: Shipbreaker in Early Access and, with the community, developed it into a critically-acclaimed, award-winning sim.

We strongly believe the best Early Access games are the ones that maintain a constant dialogue with their community. Expect frequent updates based on your feedback and ideas, detailed insights into upcoming features, and behind-the-scenes looks at development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Earthless is expected to be in Early Access for approximately 12 months. We believe this period is adequate time to add our desired features and content and ensure everything is polished.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Throughout Early Access we plan to build a gripping story campaign spread across several chapters alongside more cards, more narrative choices, events, enemies, hazards, sectors to explore, and challenging boss encounters.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of Earthless contains the following:

● 50+ cards
● 1 story act (with more to come in later updates)
● 100+ upgrades, artifacts, consumables to find and use

Right now, Earthless contains more than a dozen hours worth of content, though its roguelike nature means you can enjoy it for many, many more hours beyond that. The main focus of Early Access will be incorporating your feedback and ideas to further improve and expand the game.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes! Earthless will be available for a lower price during Early Access. Once it leaves Early Access, the price will increase to better reflect the value of its new features and content.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Developing Earthless alongside its community is exactly why we're doing Early Access in the first place. Your feedback, suggestions, and ideas will all play a vital role in how we shape and prioritize new updates and features.

Content and Feature Ideas
We will seriously consider all ideas and suggestions. Cool card concepts, suggestions on making boss encounters even more harrowing, and even your wildest ideas will all be taken into account and could possibly make it into the final game!

Balancing
Newton's oft-forgotten Fourth Law of Thermodynamics states: "If an overpowered strategy exists, players will expend all their energy to find it." We hope to harness that law to our benefit, and use player data and feedback to continually hone balance across all our features.

Bug Fixing
We want the final version of Earthless to be immersive and captivating, and that means squashing any bugs that might disrupt your mission to save humanity. While we have our own rigorous quality-assurance teams, there are countless interactions between cards, your crew, and the choices you make during a campaign. We know there'll be a few issues, and with your help finding them, we will make Earthless even more polished.”
