About This Game

Jump into the cockpit of a space craft in this wonderful tale set in the titular Nightingale Universe! take command of your future as seasoned ace pilot Commander Amelia Godard or Commander Jacob Williams. Set inside the Marcarri Expanse, this wild and dangerous "New Frontier" is filled with pirates, wild groups, and backstabbing major and minor powers. Pirates have been attacking shipping lanes and gathering artifacts, the Grand Alliance intelligence services have confirmation that they are being paid by someone with deep pockets. Your task is to go undercover into the pirates underworld and figure out who these secret benefactors are. The answer will uncover a millennium old secret and plunge the sector into a dark abyss. Can you and your friends make it through this and save the sector?


Dive deep into a dynamic universe filled with all manner of species, ship designs and stations, explore never before seen wild locations, and dive from planet to planet in this massive open world adventure. With 24 star systems, 56 stations, and over 130 locations to discover the expanse is yours to do with as you please! Become a trader of immense wealth, a pirate hunter feared by all, or a rich ore miner hunting for the rarest minerals in the galaxy.

PLANNED FEATURE LIST:

A fully dynamic market to buy and sell items to earn credits.

- stations and colonies have a limited supply of X goods and the further away from the best place to buy the stuff, Is its best selling prices.

A large blueprint system so you can turn those commodities into rare or otherwise unobtainable items you can sell at a profit.

- blueprints can be gathered by buying them from station bars, in story missions, or randomly as salvage when you break into destroyed ship hulls

The station you are given can store more ships, ammo, and commodities.

- station allows the player to store ships, and an infinite amount of ammo, commodities, and components can be stored here. this station also allows you to craft unique upgrades after building the Workshop

You can take bounty hunting missions.

- player can get bounty hunting in 2 forms;
=As a mercenary fighting for the law enforcement agencies, killing pirates, tracking down escaped convicts, and destroying pirate nests
=as a pirate yourself, this is the fastest method to make money but also super risky, you will be tasked to kill navy ships and enforcement officers

Transport people to and from stations for a fee.

- a fairly risk free way to earn money in the beginning, you need to have a “guest quarters” component installed to take on these missions, typically timed these missions are the least dangerous of the various missions (aside from ones that require trade/transport of cargo)

Raid Transports with rare materials to cut costs for manufacturing, with chance of spawning “patrols” that will get you in trouble

- transports that fly through space have a chance to carry rare components or commodities and will drop them into space when destroyed
- hack and board ships to steal their cargo intact

Hire other mercenaries to fly with you for a short time to lend a hand in tough missions or just protect you when you're loaded with very valuable cargo.

- Mercenary ships can be hired to follow the player and automatically fight ships that are hostile to the player.
- Mercenaries can help you salvage loot
- Fire EMP weapons to disable targets and allow successful boarding
- Help you board enemy ships and capture their internals

A vast arsenal of weapons each with their own uses that can compliment your preferred play style.

- each race has its own preferred guns.
- the player can buy most weapons from stores, while some of the most powerful guns will require a very good standing with the race you're buying them from.
