About This Game

Cataverse MVP is an offline battle royale, where hundreds of cats select their next MVP as a way to sustain their coconut & fish based society. Teams are based around ethico-aesthetic paradigms chosen via a short quiz, with each member hurling insults rooted in their developmental stage of social maturation. The game's narrative and mechanics revolve around ascending the society's class structure, where altitude reflects social status, progression, and health—falling into the sea means a roguelike death reset. Defeated opponents become loyal followers, high ranking leaders herd cats together in large-scale gang warfare. Combat interaction is simple and incorporate martial arts principles of timing, range, poise.

Simple to Control

Cataverse MVP can be played with 2 directional inputs and 2 buttons. Your timing is what determines your effectiveness.

Freeform Structure

Designed to foster intrinsic motivation, you are allowed to pursue whatever objectives you want. It's about the journey not the destination.

Hundreds of Cats to play with

The 300+ cats will respond intelligently to their own personal motivations and circumstances. Expect to be out-smarted.
