What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“It lets me get real feedback from players that I couldn't get otherwise. That feedback allows me to refine the game's scope, balance, and overall experience in a way I couldn't do alone.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“2 months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full release will feature significant polish, bug fixes, and expanded content - largely guided by feedback during Early Access. While retaining the core gameplay, the full version aims to provide a refined, definitive experience based on addressing player insights from Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access build is fully playable and includes 2 levels. While the core gameplay loop is there, this version is still missing some planned content and further polish for the full release. Key features like the skill system and additional enemy types are still being developed based on player feedback during Early Access. I'll continue expanding and improving the experience leading up to launch.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game is and will always be free”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community involvement is key during Early Access. I want players to directly influence Midnight at the Disco's development. You'll get to provide feedback on gameplay balance, suggest new content ideas like enemies or upgrades, and help prioritize which new features to focus on. Your insights will shape the game's direction and ensure it resonates before full release. An open dialogue with the community is the top priority.”
