What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“WhiteTrick is a game created by a small development team. Our goal is to get feedback and ideas from users through early access to create a more complete game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Currently, the game has been functionally implemented to the point where gameplay is not affected even in the early access version. As mentioned earlier, the goal is to improve the completeness of the game, and the official version is expected to be released sometime in 2024.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The official version will focus on game production or gimmick, translation, and graphic elements. Also, the early access version is currently available, but we're working on upgrading the graphics-related elements to improve completeness.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version of Early Access is seamless gaming. In the case of multi-play, which is the core element of the game, it can be played by a minimum of 2 people to a maximum of 4 people, and it even has a voice chat function.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Price change plans have not been determined.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will periodically review it as we plan to receive feedback, ideas, and bug reports from users through the Steam community. Each feedback from users is important and precious to small development teams like ours.”

About This Game

Game Story

WhiteTrick is played with a conman who is defrauding second-hand goods and three police officers chasing him, and their goals vary depending on their roles. The impostor "White" can move while hidden from the three police officers, and must commit additional crimes within a set number of turns. And in order to catch White, the police can investigate White's movement path to find clues, guess his movement route, arrest him, or block his movement route to prevent further crimes.

White background

White has no decent job and is making money by selling second hand goods through fraud. His face is already so well known in this village that he wants to leave the village, but he still lacks money. He needs money to leave town, and there are only three transactions left to reach his goal. The appointment locations and items for the three cases have already been prepared. However, due to frequent crimes, I heard that a special team was formed within the police to catch second-hand dealers and they were hunting him down. Can he commit three additional crimes without being caught by the police?

Police background

"James", who is about to retire, has been transferred to a quiet rural village to spend his remaining years comfortably, and there are "Emily", who is known for being good at work and strict, and "Samuel", his troublemaker. As James expected, the village was maintaining its daily life quietly without any incidents or accidents. But starting one day, similar reports kept coming in. It was a second-hand transaction fraud case. Most of the statements made by the victims were consistent, and a dedicated team was immediately formed to catch him. Perhaps because it was not a skill he had tried once or twice, it was not easy to see him with his own eyes. We need to track down the reported crime location, investigate the surrounding area, and find clues about him. And guess and predict his movement path to prevent him from committing further crimes!

Common Guide

• White complete 3 additional crimes while eluding the police.
• White can see the police, but the police cannot see White.
• The movement tiles for White and Police are different.
