What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Fizzle Studios is but one mortal... from where this wizard appeared no one knows. Not a lot is known about this anomaly except that he is passionate about hand tailoring vivid experiences in the worlds he creates.

There is a broad vision for this world but he desires to get this in your hands and invite you into the early phases development process. Considering this being is the sole contributor to every aspect of planning, design and development there is an infinite number of ways you can get involved.

When this world is crystalized there will be less room for broad sweeping changes and moving beyond early access will be the intention.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“A full release is planned for November, 2024”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

More.

More levels. More obstacles. More unique music. More of everything.

More Satisfying Failures
Item Collector Ball is quite challenging. You're gonna die a lot. There will be a major focus on various ways your ball can be destroyed. There is currently only one way (the laser); this is one of my most excited about things to explore. Rocket obstacles?? Mines???? BOMBS?? These are hopeful additions on the table with Unreal Engine 5's Chaos Physics and Niagara.

More Variable Game Play
Controllable obstacles
Currently there is one way for you to move around. You can push the ball. There are plans to add unique ways in which you can navigate towards the finish line. Unique obstacles or game modes where you can control things. A pinball mode is something that is a good example of the type of feature that will be explored.

Variable Movement Mechanics
Exploring ways for players to make their own movement mechanics. This game is entirely based on chaos physics simulations so there are MANY ways that the experience can be affected. There will be a delicate balance of a number of settings to give a reliable, fun and challenging experience.

1. These defaults will continue to be fine tuned; Any feedback on this is very welcome.
2. Some of these may be exposed to players with reasonable boundaries to allow for customization.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Single player game with ten levels. The core movement and game mode are established, satisfying and fun. There are three unique physics manipulating obstacles. Your best times are stored for each level.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price may change at or near the official launch.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“While there is an established core vision for the look, feel and physics of this game; Constructive feedback will always be welcome and taken seriously. Fizzle Studios is active on the following social media to provide updates;

About This Game

Inspired heavily from games like N++ and Marble Madness, Careful detail was paid to ensure smooth, responsive and satisfying movement.

GamePlay
Levels are grouped by 5. You are given 60 seconds to get to the finish portal; any items you collect on the way will increase your time. Don't worry about falling off the platforms, you will simply re-spawn with the same time amount and get to try again. The uniquely crafted obstacles offer vastly different experiences with every level.

Your ball has special controls!!
- Double Jump: You can jump while you are in the air!
- Air Control: You have the ability to move while you are not in contact, but with less force.
- Brakes: Sometimes things get a little crazy, slow it all down with the push of a button.

Unique Obstacles
- Gravity Fields: Get pulled in various directions to help you traverse difficult situations
- Tubes: A hamsters dream.
- Lasers: These hurt... but man are they fun to watch destroy your ball.

Crafted with love
Manually built and tested levels ensure a dynamic experience that we have complete control over every aspect of level design. Each of the in game objects is modeled by us to match the look feel and user experience.
