What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

We've decided to launch Blindfire into Early Access because we believe the best way to refine the game is with real player interaction.

Here's why:

Player-Driven Development

We’ve taken Blindfire as far as we can on our own, and now it’s time to see how you play and engage with it in the wild. Early Access allows us to gather valuable feedback directly from the community, so we can refine the game based on real-world experiences and what our fans actually want.

A 'Shooter-Literate' Social Game

We describe Blindfire as a "shooter-literate, social game" because it’s designed to be lightweight yet high-quality, something you and your friends can enjoy together in short bursts without feeling the pressure to grind. It's not just about pin-point accuracy, but also about how you communicate and strategize under unique conditions. Our core player-base is obviously FPS players, but you don't need to be world champion calibre to be competitive in Blindfire. The unique setup allows everyone to thrive.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

Blindfire will be in Early Access at least through the beginning of 2025.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

We have a roadmap in mind for new weapons, abilities, and features, but we want your feedback to guide our next steps.

SHAPING THE FUTURE TOGETHER

Early Access gives us the flexibility to introduce new content gradually, ensuring everything integrates smoothly and keeps the game balanced. More importantly, it lets the community play a direct role in shaping the future of Blindfire.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

Our vision for Blindfire was to create an FPS that offers something a little different from the rest of the pack, for groups of friends who enjoy playing FPS games together — we see it as a great way to take a break from the bigger, more intense games.

A UNIQUE SHOOTER EXPERIENCE

With the lights out and limited visibility, Blindfire asks you to rely on more than just quick reflexes; you’ll need to use your other senses, adding a fresh layer of challenge and helping you develop your skills in new ways.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

There are no plans to change the price of the game when it leaves Early Access.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

We’re inviting you to help us develop it into something truly special.

HONEST DEVELOPMENT PROCESS

Your feedback is essential to us, and we welcome all suggestions. We look forward to seeing how you interact with the game and how your input will help us fine-tune and improve the experience for everyone. We are ultimately at your service, we want to make the game you want to play.

About This Game

Light is a rarity in close-quarter arenas riddled with traps for intense firefights. Players must decide where and when to fire at the risk of exposing their position. Hone your senses with the room-scanning Echo mechanic to help you navigate the arena and locate your opponents.

Brave the arena alone or team up in matches of up to 8 players. In Bodycount mode, score the most points over five rapid-fire rounds. Be the last person standing when the lights come on and earn your place in the winner's showcase.

When defeated, spectators gain access to the arena's cutting-edge night vision cameras. Blacklight reveals the vibrant hues of hidden street art and transforms the slick designs of contestants' outfits. The eliminated spectators can assume control of traps in the arena to influence the outcome of the match and exact revenge.

The pitch-black battlefields of Blindfire turn the first-person shooter genre on its head. Stalk the shadows as the tension builds, then run for cover as the shots start flying in a volley of muzzle flashes. Think you've got what it takes to eliminate the competition in Blindfire? Then grab your weapon and LIGHT THEM UP.
