What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Until then the game has been in limited development for over 4 years under family support.
It is also because it is a complex game, but we have a clear vision of what the game will ultimately be. And the best way to know a complex game, is a growing community interest could make that vision a reality or even improve it.
That's why we decided to release the game in early access.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Depending on reception, it will be in early access for a year and a half to two, and if it is more successful, the process will be sped up a bit.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The main new features and changes that could come are new Net-Cubes to unlock, with new mechanics, features and history. They would also come with bug fixes, adjustments, and sometimes level or character redesigns.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Despite not being the final version, the game has a lot of content to offer.
The early access comes with more than 30 levels spread across 7 different Net-Cubes, a wide variety of OST, different mechanics, etc., giving a better approach to it and a fairly clear development direction.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game price will increase slightly for each major update that is added in the future.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to publicize the game with the methods we can offer. But we would also love for the community to also give their contribution to get to know the game.
This can bring new possibilities to expand the game and meet a new audience.
Yoy can talk about the game with people close to them, or through social media and on the Steam forums.”

About This Game

Randy & Manilla is a game in which we discover a mysterious quantum cyber-universe full of Net-Cubes that contain virtual worlds with several game genres.

Each Net-Cube is a world, which contains levels that represent each video game genre.
On this journey, we will encounter different adventure modes such as:

  • A walk through Terra-Qubit with levels based on the platform genre
  • A challenge with giant arcade machines in Gamezone Cube with several nods to classic games
  • Battles and dungeons in the style of rogue-lite & RPGs in Rol & Rogue
  • And many other surprises...

In the year 2142, among the mysteries of the quantum supercomputer created by Lambert Wilson, there is a cyber-universe packed with brightly colored cubes called Net-Cubes. Within them, fantastic virtual worlds of pixelated and abstract structures await. It is free from threats like hackers, cyber-spies and corporate and government organizations. But that doesn't mean that they don’t hold their own dangers; such as the villain of the red Net-Cube: Cracksom Virus. This dominant virus is putting all Net-Cubes in danger of being permanently deleted, so he can expand his empire of computing corruption to the real world, abandoned by humans.

Meanwhile, a messaging algorithm called E-Mailer arrives at the world of Bloxland Qubitown, Randy and Manilla’s home, giving them an urgent warning: the entire cyber-universe is in grave danger of being destroyed by Cracksom. He knows that they are the only ones who can stop his great threat. Moreover, according to the mayor Blue Quantáramo, our heroes hold a hidden programming and power that prevents them from being corrupted by Cracksom himself. And so, they accept the mission to embark on a great adventure through all the different Net-Cubes. E-Mailer will also come along and open portals so our heroes can access the new worlds.
