What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We would like to get feedback from players about the current state of the game, and use that feedback to improve what we already have and plan to include in the final release version.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect to be in early access for around one year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the final release version of Aqatillion to be more fleshed out, with more NPCs and a more lively world. We intend to add many side quests and minor diversions in each of the game's towns to make the world feel more alive.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is fully playable from beginning to end, including major side quests. However, players may notice unpolished areas or quests still in development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“At this time, we do not intend to change the price when we leave early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We encourage our players to make community posts and give us feedback about features they would like to see in the finished game or suggestions to make the game more engaging.”

The Story

A man named Stenobar Floreston is something of a local hero. He lives in the village of Newham, on an island in the world of Neria in the year 273. In recent days, the wildlife of the island has become aggressive, and Stenobar goes out to find the source of the change in the monsters. During his journey, he finds a cave in a mountain and, upon exploring it, stumbles upon a scientist named Ghovere. Using his technology, Ghovere sends Stenobar to the future against his will.
