Why Early Access?

“Currently, the core gameplay is done, while my teammates are working on the aesthetics (visual effects, character designs and models, sound effects, music). I'd like to have a playable version of the game out to get a feel for how fun the gameplay is while the aesthetics are being developed.”

“The full version is planned to have uniquely created character designs and 3D models (as opposed to the current placeholders), visual effects, sound effects, and music.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“As mentioned in the Description, this is a Top-Down Roguelite. It is mechanically feature-complete:
- 10 enemy types and 3 Bosses
- Procedurally generated rooms
- Common enemies (i.e., non-Bosses) randomly drop weapons of 5 weapon types (Sword, Axe, Spear, Crossbow, Tome), each with their own Signature Moves
- Each weapon dropped will have two of 36 Weapon Abilities, which, along with its power and durability, will determine how much space in the palyer's inventory they take up.
- Enemies can also randomly drop one of 6 Potion types. The player can hold on to a max of 6 potions.
- The player can upgrade their stats after defeating bosses (Health, Inventory Space, and Signature Gain), and enemies get stronger as the player climbs higher.
- Defeating enemies earns the player points, and their top 3 scores are saved.
- There are 4 default control schemes, and the player can create and save up to 5 custom control schemes, and switch between them during gameplay using the number keys.”

“Yes. Once the visuals, music, and sound effects are done, the game will increase in price, all at once.”

About This Game

Explore the endless, enigmatic Castle Fractal as a brave adventurer in this Top-Down Action RPG Roguelite! Utilize 5 types of Weapons, 6 potions, and over 35 Weapon Abilities to defeat all the monsters in each procedurally-generated room and progress through the castle. Along the way, you'll encounter fearsome Bosses; dodge their attacks with good timing to pull off powerful Signature Moves!

As you climb the castle, you'll be able to rank up one of three attributes for the rest of the run. Carefully strategize with your equipment, upgrades, and potions to earn a high score!

This game is in EARLY ACCESS. While the core gameplay will be largely unchanged in the final release, it will have more polished visuals as well as sound effects and music.
