“This game is currently an unfunded project developed by Dr. Tyler Kynn. As chapters of the game are completed they will be updated on Steam with the notion that even a short playthrough of an earlier stage of the game can prove to be a useful educational tool.”

“The full version will include the full route from Mostar to Mecca. If funding is achieved during development the full version will ideally also have Turkish and Arabic language support options, further community input, updated artwork, cleaner UI with cutscenes.”

“The current state of the early access version includes the first three scenes of the game (the tutorial scene, the first town of the game, and the first dream sequence).”

About This Game

Seyahat: A Journey to Mecca is a unique free-to-play 2D RPG which is designed as an educational tool to help players and students to engage with the cultural history of the seventeenth-century Ottoman Empire and Islamic world. Seyahat will introduce the player to this world through Ottoman painting inspired art design and stories inspired by historical primary sources. Seyahat serves as the inspired remake of the Twine free-to-play game The Hajj Trail.
