About This Game

Tsurine is a PsySpec wrapped up in the intensity of her job, and the stress that comes with dissociative amnesia. One night, a mysterious woman offers to help recover her lost memories. All Tsurine must do in exchange is hunt down the missing fragments to an unusual key.

Throwup Club is an intricate choice-heavy psychological medicore thriller about an amnesiac facing both real and mental horrors within a world akin to an endless, liminal hospital.

The game utilizes a fusion of Visual Novel, RPG, and Point-&-Click mechanics to paint a story about how people choose to cope with trauma, and the way it shapes one's identity. While the main story of Throwup Club is firm, it features hundreds of branching paths, choices, and open exploration areas to engage in along the way. Every action you take, and every choice you make, is remembered and seen through to its very end.

Uncover the secrets of this strange world, and the ones lurking within Tsurine's forgotten past. Will you accept your limitations when faced with peril, or will you dive deep into delusion and madness for a chance at hope?

The world of Throwup Club is heavily inspired by the works and the aesthetics of Yami Kawaii, Liminality, Traumacore, and both Modern & Pastel Goth. It features a long, diverse, and dark soundtrack done by lolratz combining elements of Breakcore, Hyperpop, and Witch House music genres.

Throwup Club's Sanitoria is full of disturbing secrets, and widespread mental challenges. Thankfully, you won't have to be alone- Tsurine will have the opportunity of engaging in one of four different major romance routes. Each route and character will offer help in combat, a large influence on the story, and a slowburn yuri romance to tug at your heartstring implants! After all- dark places birth beautiful relationships. Just be wary of those with worse intentions. Where will you draw the lines between circumstance, intention, and abuse?

The game's story is an adaptation of an unreleased novel with 16 chapters, and thus the game is sectioned in the same way. The full game consists of 4 'Collections' of 4 chapters called 'Discs.' Collection 1 contains Discs 0, 1, 2, and 4. Each Disc will be released as they are completed, and each collection will be sold independently. You could consider "Throwup Club" a bundle of 4 4-part games in a series.

Currently, Disc 0 and 1 are complete, but undergoing a large update called Update 19, where all of the existing artwork is being replaced, and scenes are being enhanced now that I have a team. Both will be released soon. The game was previously available on itch, where you can view its comments and ratings from those who have already played Discs 0 and 1.

Disc 0 "Waking Up" has a good amount of content to experience : ~  2 to 7 hours of gameplay (time taken from players in the community discord server), depending on how much secret content is discovered.  You can rush it and skip stuff, but those who poke around for a little will find heaps of hidden areas and characters.

Disc 1 "The Short Way Down" is much longer, with 4-30 hours of playtime full of emotional twists, turns, and secrets that require some heavy de-tec-tive work!

Throwup Club features frequent violent topics that grow in severity as the game continues. This includes gore, torture, and disturbing psychological scenes. This game also features sexual content, but it does not feature sexual crimes or use of sex in any violent or disturbing way. Sexual content is limited to player-pursued romance scenes between the main character and a chosen love interest, and is always optional without impact on the story or relationship.
