About This Demo

Suspense: Madman’s Dream Demo

Immerse yourself in the mind of Jamie Atkinson and experience a chilling psychological horror story. Imagination can feel more real than the world around us—can the doctor help?

In this narrative-driven demo, you will witness the collapse of a man’s sanity. Explore a 1950s English house through the eyes of someone with a fractured mind, where reality is distorted and constantly shifting. Wander through ever-changing locations, face deep fears, and feel the unsettling presence of someone watching you.

Your goal is to piece together fragments of the story and understand what is tormenting Jamie. There are no hints or obvious triggers—what you discover is entirely up to you. Every surreal event is based on psychiatric realities, reflecting the horrors experienced by those suffering from mental disorders.

Features of the game demo:

• Voice Control: Use your voice and commands to survive and solve mysteries.

• Exploration: Investigate eerie environments and solve puzzles to uncover the story.

• Shifting Spaces: Constantly changing locations with psychedelic scenes and disturbing manifestations of violence.

• Authenticity: A scientifically inspired depiction of schizophrenia.

From the Developer:

Hi! My name is Oscar. I’m a former doctor who worked with people suffering from mental disorders, including patients in forensic psychiatry who committed terrible acts due to their conditions.

Mental illness is a heavy burden, and people don’t always realize how critical their condition is. Some patient stories were so unusual that they felt like scenes from a movie or a game.

I left medicine to pursue game development in the hopes of conveying that feeling.

Some gameplay elements may seem illogical from a gaming perspective, but they make perfect sense when you reference psychiatric textbooks.
