About This Game

In a similar manner to bumper cars, a surreal group of generic ATMs roam on a desolate square quay surrounded by the infinite ocean. As a first-person player, you ram into other bot ATMs before they hit you, earning cash with each knockdown. Eventually—you are most likely to either trip and fall into the ocean, be knocked out by another ATM, or get busted by the police.

This is an indie art video game by Studio Alona Rodeh, Berlin, Germany. It was produced for Interzone, a solo show at Kunstmuseum Gelsenkirchen (2024-2025) with the support of Stiftung Kunstfonds_SoloProjekt, the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach-Stiftung, and Artis.

WASTED can be played with an X-Box controller (preferred) or keyboard.

X-Box Controls:

Up/Down = Accelerate

Left/Right = Steer Left/Right

Menu Button = Pause/Restart

Keyboard Controls:

Esc = Pause/Restart

Z = Left Trigger
