What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We have been working very hard for the last few years, pining away in the dark, asking our friends and family what they thought of what we were working so hard on.

It’s time to enter the Light and get the community’s feedback.

We have an idea of the game we want to build, and hopefully have a presentation you can appreciate and get behind.

However, if you don't like the Art, you want more combat and less simulation let us know.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to stay in Early access for quite some time; We are hoping only up to a year.

However, we don't want to stay forever. We have a goal to get to where we feel we can move into Alpha and then Beta; probably under early access until we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

With your support and feedback, we plan to hinge it based on your feedback as well.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will include a few stages of game play.

As we start down the road of Early access you have access to the first stage of game play.
As with each new content will include more stages to play.

We have not finalized how many stages will include, and may add in more stages to stretch out the game play in certain areas the community is interested in.

Once we have all stages, will probably will move from Early Access to polish.
The stages of game won't change, but the content and its impact will.

We will hopefully have the basics of all the systems in place we wish to focus on. This means polish upgrading and implementing mission critical features.

We won't be building a massive fantasy town, but a quiet hamlet that bustles and our players can rove about.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“You can start your journey in front of a run down hovel. You must find resources and a tool to help you survive and understand the world you have found yourself in.

This will at some point soon include the first full stage of game play.

Then we will quickly move into a 2nd stage where the game world expands.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Pricing is still yet to be determined. We are a small indie team, and need your support, but realize we don't have the backing currently needed to make it an expensive game, you win thou right? Honestly, we can make a great reasonable priced game since we are so small.

We plan to start our game on the low end for price points.
We think if you invest early you should not incur as much risk.

We will raise the price as the game becomes more complete.
For Early Access this will be the most significant price reduction
This now includes a 15% discount we have decided to offer.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Right now, we are going to ask you to use Steam's community hub for our game to provide your feedback.

It gives our community a chance to comment and help work out what they want to see. We don't imagine a consensus will occur but will try and facilitate feedback from everyone.

If forums scare you, as much as they do us, we have an email that you can get support from.

Soon we will open our Discord to everyone and use our tools and our words to help you out as well.

Providing feedback in the form you are comfortable with, if that ensures your feedback will be our first goal. We will be happy to look into expanding as well.”

About This Game

Hamlet: Have you ever wanted to explore an interactive world.

In Hamlet you will create a hamlet, but first you must survive. You could collect tools and resources to help expand your new world.

Soon your world will expand, and you will have more things to manage. Explore your world as you find new resources and challenges that await our intrepid explorer.

Once you feel you have found a place to call home, settle down, start a family, and build a community.

The larger you grow the more you will be responsible for. You can't compete with the big towns and castles out there in the larger world. However, your little piece of home is yours and someday you may get help in building your home into a community with like-minded folks.

Soon they will want to expand into a larger community until you’re finally ready to establish your very own Hamlet.
