Why Early Access?

“XSOverlay is considered Early Access because there are features I intend to implement after release that aren't in yet.

There may also be bugs that have been overlooked.

It's currently a fully functional Desktop Overlay application, and provides a lot of features that competitors don't, however, it does lack some, such as Layout saving, and things similar to that. This is why it is marked as early access.

In future updates, I'm aiming to make the product 100% stable and flesh out the feature set further than what other desktop Overlays have.”

Approximately how long will this software be in Early Access?

“4-5 months roughly, though because I am a single developer with some help, it may take longer than that. One person can only do so much work!”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will aim to have all features implemented such as layout saving, stand alone built in applications, and plugin support.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Most features are in, and it is currently a viable replacement to other Desktop Overlays for both power users and non power users.

This means that functionality such as monitor captures, window captures, clicking on desktop elements, dragging desktop elements, typing, and pretty much anything else that you can think of to interact with your PC is available in the VR Overlay.”

Will this software be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, the price will remain the same.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The communities feedback is vastly important to the development of XSOverlay.

I plan to listen to any and all feedback left within the Discord, on Twitter, etc. (That does not mean that all feedback will be implemented, but it will at least be considered.)”
