What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We have a selection of our initial games currently integrated and would like your feedback on game quality and selection, as well as the general experience of playing in our arcade environment. Our dream is to create comfortable, in-app purchasing-free, casual gaming space that invokes the feel of ‘90s arcades while allowing players to collect arcade units (games) through purchasing them via DLC. (Once collected, units remain available to you even if they're rotated off the arcade floor; we also plan to add additional customization and benefits to units that have been collected.)”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We aiming for around 9 months to complete development of the games’ features and bring our arcade catalog up to the inventory we need to support the regular rotation of games.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We have a number of improvements planned before we'll move out of early access including a wider variety of games, improvements to our internally developed games, hundreds of additional music tracks and other features from our roadmap.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We have a first cut of the types of games that will be offered integrated with our player XP, credit, and ticket systems. Credits are easy to come by: You receive credits when you first enter and you can always spin for more at the Free Credits Spinner. If you are running too low on tickets to continue playing, you’ll be redirected to the Free Credits Spinner so you can get more.

Many of the games support in-game prize redemption using the ticket system: Earn tickets by spending your free credits playing games and then redeem them for prizes such as free lives, in-world items, etc. across any of the games on the arcade floor or in your personal collection.

We also have hundreds of high-quality game music tracks which are used in our arcade and are also available to you through Infinity Jukebox, our media player featuring genre-based playlists for you to set the ambience outside of the games. The addition of visualizers is up next, but that’s only the beginning of our vision for Infinity Jukebox…”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Some game units* are in preview and currently marked down while their individual development is being completed. Everything else is priced as it will be when My Neighborhood Arcade is released.

*Our “Double Sweet” games are marked down 33% during their preview development phase.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“As an indie game studio that wants to seamlessly deliver games people love to play, we welcome a conversation that strives to improve upon what we build. While it’s likely we’ll be unable to include every request or suggestion, we hope providing a platform for responsive communication will provide players the opportunity to give feedback that we may incorporate into our planning. We'd love to hear from you through our Steam forum or Discord channel.”

About This Game

Welcome to My Neighborhood Arcade where we provide a casual gaming experience with a revolving set of free to play arcade/mini games for you to enjoy! Our collection includes arcade classics, puzzle, strategy, shooting, racing games and more. While the selection changes on a rotating schedule, whatever is currently on the arcade floor is available for you to play without in-app purchasing interruptions.

Our virtual arcade runs on credits and tickets, both of which you’ll find easily available—it’s like we left buckets of credits and piles of tickets just laying around and everyone is welcome to them. Use credits to play games and earn tickets to redeem for in-game “prizes” across all available games (such as extra lives, unlocking cars in racing games, power-ups, etc.).

My Neighborhood Arcade also lets you build you own game collection—imagine having a private game room in your local arcade. Purchase DLC packs to add games to your permanent collection and these games are then always available for you to play, even when they’re rotated off of the main arcade floor.

What’s an arcade without a soundtrack? My Neighborhood Arcade also includes Infinity Jukebox, a genre-based music player. Infinity Jukebox is stocked with hundreds of high-quality game music tracks, tagged with multiple genres to provide you with custom music scores in games or in the separate jukebox player.
