Why Early Access?

“We do not consider the game to be complete without multiplayer, full campaign, and a lot more of the quality of life features. However, we feel like it is quite playable in its current state. A lot of our testers during the closed beta wished that the game was released earlier, and we want to make that happen.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“As long as it takes to complete all the planned features, primarily multiplayer, custom games, and full campaign. We expect it to take not more than a few months to half a year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will support a multiplayer mode, games with custom settings, the full campaign against an AI, and a lot of smaller improvements.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, all of the features of Zen World are done, except multiplayer. For the full list of features please refer to the "About this game" section.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to raise the price on the full release of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“During the last few months of the development, we've organized a few external closed beta-tests and asked our players for feedback. Information about the way people play the game and things they prefer to do, as well as the direct feedback from the community, has proven invaluable for the development process. Many features and the whole Zen Mode (no challenge, no score) were implemented based on it. During the Early Access, we plan to continue collecting feedback, as it helps to steer the game in the direction that is the most fun for everyone.”
