About This Game

WHAT IS THE STARFIGHTER?

THE STARFIGHTER is a big, immersive, Full HD and real-time 3D combat flight arcade game in which you have to be a heroic extra-terrestrial starfighter pilot, fly the two-seater Griffin Starfighter with a Radar-Intercept Officer and wipe out the evil robotic extra-terrestrial King Nimrod's buildings, spaceships, rocket launcher equipped armored buggies, combat drones, aviation containers, etc. and restore peace to the universe.

THE STARFIGHTER video game is 2 games in 1-- it is a combat flight simulator and a space flight (astronautics) simulator.

THE STARFIGHTER is a kids' and college students' multimedia game.

THE ORIGINAL SPACE STORY IN THE GAME:

You are Paladin, a heroic starfighter pilot who flies the legendary Griffin Starfighter. You are from a fictitious exoplanet called The Hive which is located light-years away from the Earth. The evil King Nimrod and his forces from an undisclosed exoplanet in a galaxy somewhere in the universe are conquering the universe. The leader of The Hive, Queen Crusher, opposes King Nimrod. You and your Radar-Intercept Officer code named Wizard now have to fly in the Griffin Starfighter and restore peace in the universe by vanquishing King Nimrod, all of his forces and all of his assets wherever they may be. The despicable King Nimrod and his forces are mechanical extra-terrestrial (E.T.) lifeforms known as the Raptorbots, while you (Paladin), Wizard and Queen Crusher are insectlike extra-terrestrial (E.T.) lifeforms known as the Hivians.

THE GRIFFIN STARFIGHTER SPECIFICATIONS:

The Griffin Starfighter is a sleek gold colored near-mirror surface finish two-seater in tandem, twin-tail, single rocket engine, extra-terrestrial multirole starfighter with control-canards, and double-delta wings. The Griffin Starfighter can indeed glide in Earth's atmosphere. During spaceflight, the Griffin Starfighter uses an Attitude Determination & Control System (ADCS) to change its attitude. The Griffin Starfighter is equipped with a spaceworthy Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) dual axis multi-beam technology radar which gives its pilot instant situational awareness of the battlespace. The Griffin Starfighter also has Regenerating Shields and a Turbo Speed Thrust Level rocket motor. The Griffin Starfighter's canopy is an all-plastic design. The angled airframe of the Griffin Starfighter also has radar stealth (low observable) characteristics, like the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor and the Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk, to deflect radar signals. The design of the Griffin Starfighter is such that it has a low radar signature. Moreover, it is equipped with wingtip mounted High Energy Laser Cannons directed-energy weapon and Fire-And-Forget Missiles. The current Griffin Starfighter models have no flare and chaff dispensers.

THE FIRE-AND-FORGET MISSILES OF THE GRIFFIN STARFIGHTER:

The Griffin Starfighter's Fire-And-Forget Missiles have warheads that produce more than 300 pounds penetrating blast fragmentation explosive force. The missiles' engines are solid rocket motors.

KEY FEATURES:

· There are 6 massive combat missions for you to fly so that you will never be bored to play the game over and over again.

· THE STARFIGHTER video game is a Full HD video game. It has sharp real-time 3D graphics and there is a lot of detail in the graphics.

· You can replay a mission whenever you want to.

· The space combat in THE STARFIGHTER is visually stunning like in the Star Trek: Picard science fiction/drama TV series.

· THE STARFIGHTER is a very nice, highly realistic and real-time 3D combat flight arcade game. Being an Epic Games's Unreal Engine 4 made game, you get to fly a winged spaceship through photorealistic skies with moving clouds and be in environments that have winds when you are fighting on Earth. When you are in space you get to fly in a dusty spaceflight environment, fly under light-emitting stars, fly close to 3D revolving planets and 3D orbiting satellites.

- Rendering effects such as emissive color, translucency, etc. are used all throughout the game. There are other unique real-time 3D visual effects/post-process effects used in the game such as explosion flashes, smoke plumes, sparks, lens flare effect, transparent flames, fog, camera shake, real-time reflections, exposure, etc. Experience 3D explosions, 3D smoke, 3D sparks, 3D flying missiles and 3D lasers in real-time in THE STARFIGHTER video game.

- Moreover, real top quality National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA) satellite images of the planets in the Solar System were used to make this game.

- The jet exhaust of the Griffin Starfighter is like the real life jet exhaust of a jet fighter.

- THE STARFIGHTER game correctly simulates the missile firing of an U.S. Air Force Thunderbolt II attack aircraft.

- THE STARFIGHTER game correctly simulates the terrain and landscape at Stonehenge in England, the United Kingdom and at a lake, light forest and hills location on Earth.

· Some of the enemies in this video game are Artificial Intelligence (AI) controlled enemies. Therefore, you will have to fly defensively all throughout this game to avoid enemy laser fire and enemy Hydra 70 surface-to-air laser guided missile attacks.

· You can change camera views in this action video game. You can look backwards (Check Your Six), have a Zoom-In camera view and have the Normal (Tail-To-Nose Cone) camera view.

· You can do Stationkeeping (keep your spacecraft in the same orbit as the target spacecraft) like Astronaut Neil Armstrong, chase enemy spaceships that are orbiting planets in deep space and then wipe them out.

· You can fly the Griffin Starfighter in circles around the planets in this video game. Experience what it's like to fly in a spaceship in the eclipse of a planet and what it's like to fly in a spaceship in the Sun.

· You can perform an aileron roll (spinning maneuver), like Padawan Learner Anakin Skywalker does in the Hollywood movie Star Wars: Episode 1-- The Phantom Menace.

· This video game is fast-paced and it has non-stop action.

· THE STARFIGHTER has a high FPS (frames per second). The movement in the game is smooth.

· THE STARFIGHTER has an Autolevel Feature which allows you to fly level with the local horizon. This feature is useful when you are flying in space.

· Every time you play THE STARFIGHTER, it will be slightly different from the other times you play THE STARFIGHTER.

· No game manual is necessary to play THE STARFIGHTER because all of the important information is put inside of the game. For example, THE STARFIGHTER has an Enemy Designation Guide which allows you to quickly know your enemy before you fly the Griffin Starfighter.

· As Paladin the heroic starfighter pilot, you get to fly (soar in) an aeroplane looking spaceship in the Earth's atmosphere and also in outer space.

· You can fly the Griffin Starfighter using a gamepad but, to shoot Lasers and launch the Fire-And-Forget Missiles you have to use the mouse.

· There are clues for you to play this game, and they are found in the Steam Guides in the Community Hub.

· The laser fire of the Griffin Starfighter in THE STARFIGHTER is like the real-life firing of the Rheinmetall Lynx KF41 infantry fighting vehicle.

· THE STARFIGHTER has all original weapons systems design.

· THE STARFIGHTER is an immersive game, with cinema quality sound effects and tunes, 3D sound, rich sound experience, etc. Audio digital signal processing (DSP), audio effects and audio modifiers were used in THE STARFIGHTER. This gives you a first-rate quasi-VR experience.

· THE STARFIGHTER has a pause button like a highend Sony PlayStation 5 game so that you can pause the game while you are playing.

· THE STARFIGHTER has in-game instructions in case you forget what keys to press when you are playing the video game.

MORE ABOUT THE STARFIGHTER VIDEO GAME:

This video game is a Linked Missions Action Game. The player must complete each combat mission before advancing to the next one. In each mission the player must destroy all enemy targets. This game has a non-linear option, which means you can start at any of the 6 missions and you don't have to start at first mission (the Stonehenge Mission).

This video game is like Epyx's Blue Lightning for the Atari Lynx, Nintendo's Star Fox, LucasArts's Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, LucasArts's Star Wars: Starfighter, LucasArts's Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter, LucasArts's Star Wars: X-Wing, Electronic Arts's Star Wars Battlefront II, Star Fighter for the Sony PlayStation 1 (PS1), Namco's Air Combat and Sega's After Burner: Climax.

The storyline in THE STARFIGHTER is similar to the storyline in the Starcom: The U.S. Space Force cartoon series which was produced by DIC Animation City.

One similarity between the Star Trek: Picard TV series and THE STARFIGHTER video game is that there is a mission in THE STARFIGHTER in which you (Paladin) fly to Jupiter in the Solar System.

Some elements in THE STARFIGHTER game are the same as in the American TV series Space: Above And Beyond, such as wormholes, extra-terrestrials and exoplanets.

Furthermore, this video game was designed and developed based on the actual Saab JAS 39 Gripen E light single-engine multirole jet fighter, the Saab JAS 39 Gripen E-simulator in the Swedish Air Force Museum (Flygvapenmuseum) in Malmen Airbase in Malmslätt in Sweden, the Saab J 37 Viggen, the Grumman F-14 Tomcat, the McDonnell Douglas F-15E Strike Eagle, the General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon, the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet, the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk, the Dassault Rafale, the Dassault Mirage 2000, the Eurofighter Typhoon, the Sukhoi Su-30 MKM, the Lockheed SR 71-A Blackbird, the Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk, the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor, the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II, the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II, the Northrop Grumman X-47B, the Boeing AH-64 Apache attack helicopter, the Panavia Tornado, the Supermarine Spitfire, the Lockheed P-38 Lightning, the North American X-15, the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum in Manhattan in New York City, The U.S. Military Academy in West Point in New York, the SpaceX Crew Dargon spacecraft, the Gemini spacecraft & the Skylab space station of NASA in the National Air and Space Museum of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. in the USA, the Boeing 737-800 flight simulator in Sky Simulator in The Curve in Petaling Jaya in Malaysia, the U.S. Space Shuttle and the Space Shuttle Motion Based Simulator used by the National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA) in the USA.

Fly in a spaceship to the prehistoric monument Stonehenge in England in the United Kingdom on Earth, a rampart fortified airport on Earth, majestic Jupiter, Mars, the fictitious exoplanet known as The Hive, beautiful Neptune and a nearby cigar-shaped asteroid known as 'Oumuamua in this exciting, and very fun rocket/aeroplane video game.

THE STARFIGHTER has arcade video game fun in the vein of Blue Lightning, Gates of Zendocon and Toki for the Atari Lynx platform, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the Commodore International Amiga 500 platform, LucasArts's Star Wars: Rogue Squadron on the Nintendo 64 home video game console.

THE STARFIGHTER is a Malaysian made video game.

THE STARFIGHTER is a war game. The battles in this video game are intense, Star Warslike and Star Treklike. The aerial combat in THE STARFIGHTER is like in the movies Top Gun and Top Gun: Maverick.

This video game was created in about 1 year's time-- it took about a year to make this arcade game.

The gunsight or crosshairs in THE STARFIGHTER does not move. This is unlike Electronic Arts's Star Wars: Battlefront II and Sega's After Burner: Climax.

PLAYING THE GAME:

To fly the Griffin Starfighter, you must move your Mouse to change the pitch, roll and yaw angles of the spaceship, and press the Spacebar/Control keys on your keyboard to speed up or slow down the spaceship.

You can zoom in to a target by pressing the 2 key on your keyboard. This features helps in the shooting of small targets. You can look backwards of the Griffin Starfighter by pressing the 1 key on your keyboard. This feature helps you make a judgement if you have destroyed a target that you have flown by or you haven't.

You can pause the game while playing the game by pressing the P key on your keyboard. You can quit the game by clicking on the Quit button with your mouse once you have paused the game.

To shoot the Griffin Starfighter's laser cannons, press the Left Mouse Button. To launch missiles, press the Right Mouse Button.

In this video game, you must be flying all the time. If you have stopped flying by crashing into an object (such as the ground), you must uncrash yourself so that you are flying again.

You are given 3 lives for each combat mission, and unlimited fire-and-forget missiles. Moreover, there are no power-ups in this video game because the Griffin Starfighter has regenerating shields.

At the start of each combat mission, you will be given orders from the Command Center.

You must destroy King Nimrod's Runway 34, blast pad, hangars, large parabolic satellite communications (SatCom) antennas, water reservoirs, Nimrod Armada Fighters, gigantic Spacecraft Carriers, large Transport Spaceships, gigantic Nimrod Cruisers, brick walls, lightpoles, huge Fletcher Laser-Guided Rocket (LGR) Launcher equipped Armored Buggies, Nimrod unmanned combat aerial systems (NImrod UCAS's), taxibots, large aviation containers, air traffic control tower with weather radar, buildings, etc.

There are lots of enemies both combatant and non-combatant for you to shoot at in this game.

You must also avoid shooting friendly sensors-equipped satellites that are orbiting the planets in LEO.

At the end of each combat mission, except for the Jupiter mission, you are required to fly through a Portal. You have to cause the Portal to materialize in each combat mission. The Portal will materialize when you destroy all enemies and all man-made structures (constructs) in each mission. You will be teleported to another location in the universe when you fly the Griffin Starfighter into a Portal. The Portals are Wormholes that transport the Griffin Starfighter and its occupants Astronomical Units (AU's) or megaparsecs from its current position in deep space. You must fly into the Portal to advance to the next stage/mission in the game.

Onscreen, you will find the Griffin Starfighter's Velocity Indicator, Regenerating Shields Indicator, Gunsight, Target Designation Indicator, Starfighter's Current Location Display, Starfighter Pilot Information Display, Your Score and the Lives Left. This is the Helmet-Mounted Display (HMD) or HUD of the starfighter.

If you are able to vanquish King Nimrod and his forces, you and Wizard will be summoned by Queen Crusher to her Royal Palace on The Hive planet. There Queen Crusher will reward you and Wizard with medals and knighthoods.

To pilot the Griffin Starfighter, you need to have marksmanship skills and good hand-eye coordination. You must aim and then shoot at all enemy targets in the battlespace. Some of the enemies in this game are petite.

In THE STARFIGHTER video game, you have to be accurate in your aiming of the Griffin Starighter's laser cannons and missiles. If not, the onscreen targets will not be destroyed. Remember that you are always moving in this video game. Due to the fact that you are always moving during missions, THE STARFIGHTER has a video game difficulty level. It is harder to shoot at a target while you are moving than shooting at a target while you are standing still.

Only two outcomes are possible in THE STARFIGHTER game-- either you defeat the evil King Nimrod and his forces or you are destroyed by King Nimrod and his forces.

STRATEGY:

· Put your crosshairs or gunsight on the enemy and fire at will.

· Configure your starfighter's velocity setting and get the aerial attack angle to pulverize your adversary in mid-air.

· Come up with tactics to win every mission.

· Destroy all enemies and all man-made structures (constructs) in the 2 Earth missions.

STATS:

· Approximate Period To Complete All Missions: 30 minutes

· Approximate Period To Complete 1 Mission: 5 minutes
