Why Early Access?

“We are choosing early access as a means to get exposure, feedback, and experience with professional game development. We have a vision of how we want this game to turn out, but also need feedback to make it the best it can be. Furthermore, as a very small team, early access will let us have much better feedback for balance and features.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are hoping that 1 year of early access will be enough, but it may be closer to 1-2 years depending on changes implemented.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The game will differ with many more choices. Planned additional content is at a minimum: more bosses, another tower type, more parts to all towers, 1-2 additional biomes, more levels within each biome, post-game difficulty scaling, and of course balance. More in-depth changes will be tower part acquisition, a special custom final boss level, and tower mastery; possibly more depending on feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“6 towers, 3 augments and 3 bases each for 54 combinations. 4 biomes are present with about 6 levels each. The game will consist of 3 biomes to finish a run. 2 bosses currently exist, and 30 artifacts..”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We would like to raise the price at final release, but honestly it depends on reception and if players think it deserves an increase with the content.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have a Discord server up for players to post feedback and suggestions, as well as general thoughts and feelings. We will have a roadmap for planned content and roll out regular updates. Some features can be voted on to see community interest.”

About This Game

Reclamation of Xanthros is a unique Tower-Defense Roguelike game with a focus on replayability. It features a unique turret building mechanic, map alterations, biomes, and artifacts. Each enemy has unique mechanics and counters, especially the bosses! You must use whatever you find as well as the knowledge at your disposal, to even have a chance at surviving the onslaught.

  • Unique turret building

    Configure towers from a set of archetypes combined with various augments and bases, allowing greater customization to fit what you need. These augments and bases can alter your towers' speed, range, damage, and even affect how the tower fires.

  • High replayability

    Utilize all of the typical roguelike elements: Navigate randomized levels, discover new tower upgrades, unlock unique artifacts, withstand enemy waves, and prepare for boss encounters - You must make do with what you find along the way, or fall.

  • Plan

    Pure RNG losses are never fun; that's why the game provides information on the next level so you can strategize! See what the next level looks like, as well as the most common enemy type. You may even alter the maps, to some degree.

  • Biomes

    The game features multiple biomes to traverse. Each one has a unique theme, which affects certain types of enemies. All enemies have a unique mutation based on the biome that either gives them new abilities, or enhances something they already do. Mutated enemies from biomes you've already passed through may follow you as you continue onwards into new territories, so beware!

  • Base of Operations

    In between each map you go to a base where you can change out tower parts, research new parts, buy upgrades, and preview the next area to prepare. The base also features hand-drawn backgrounds.
