Chris is a troubled young man recovering from a tragic incident that left him speechless. At his little sister Charlotte's strong insistence, he moves in with his cousins Mona and Melanie Mooney to make a fresh start.

Upon his arrival, the girls introduce him to Tower of the Chosen, a mysterious card game that quickly becomes his sole means of emotional and intellectual expression...
