What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Fatal Terminal is developed by two people who are eager to share their vision of a game that combines the genres of retrofuturism, sci-fi, coop rogue-like, and horror with the public. At this point, this is our main working activity, and we are fully dedicated to this project. However, to keep in touch with the community, we aim to reach a certain stage in development, release Fatal Terminal in Early Access, and start fully interacting with the community regarding potential implementations and changes in the game, as we plan to add 3-4 times more content compared to the earliest version available for purchase.
Upon entering Early Access, one type of location and specific obstacles and entities associated with this type of location will be available, but the game will already be fully playable both solo and with friends. The procedurally generated missions will contribute to the uniqueness of gameplay situations even in the early version of the game.
We have a development plan for the game, which we intend to adjust while communicating with the player community. Our idea is for Fatal Terminal to start shaping up as a unique platform after its Early Access release, and we want to develop this platform together with the community.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to finish the development of the main content by the end of 2025.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our plans for the final version of Fatal Terminal include having 3-4 times more content than at the Early Access launch. We aim to increase the number of location types to at least 3, and accordingly, the list of monsters, anomalies, and obstacles that players will encounter will be expanded. Additionally, we plan to significantly increase the number of languages available in the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At the time of the Early Access release, the game will offer cooperative gameplay through procedurally generated missions in one type of location - tasks from the SovCosMosCorp corporation. Formally, this is already a complete game that can be played either solo or with friends, encountering various unique situations each time. The difference from the final version is that, at the start, it will not feature content related to other types of locations.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Depending on the sales results and the level of expenses for the development and evolution of Fatal Terminal, we allow for a minor increase in the price of the final version of the game relative to the Early Access price. But at this moment, this is not being considered at all; we just want to be honest and think ahead about what might happen in the future.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want to showcase regular changes and updates to Fatal Terminal across various media sources, including the Steam community, and regularly discuss possible changes with players. We believe that good ideas for the game's development, if feasible within our concept, should be considered and, where possible, integrated.”

About This Game

Welcome to Space Extraction Inc.! Whether you chose this job or it chose you doesn't matter because you're now part of the best intergalactic employer with a zero percent termination rate* and an ever-expanding workforce.

At Space Extraction Inc., you won't be tormented by a clueless boss with endless incoherent tasks. Instead, you have the freedom to choose your assignments from those available! The primary goal of these missions is one - to successfully extract objects from abandoned space stations upon requests from our partners - the corporations that own these stations. Currently, our key partner is SovCosMosCorp, and initially, you will be tasked with missions exclusively at their closed space facilities. However, Space Extraction Inc. is in the final stages of signing long-term contracts with two more intergalactic corporations in need of extraction services.

During missions, you'll utilize a monolithic protective helmet that shields your head from dangerous radiation. Don't worry, visibility isn't compromised! The helmet includes an internal display and an external camera almost unaffected by radiation.

Please be aware that not every extraction mission can be successful, as space station terminals may pose certain health threats to visitors**. Unfortunately, mission budgets are very limited, so Space Extraction Inc. cannot allocate additional funds for researching and developing special protective items due to the unknown specifics of potential threats and the uniqueness of extraction missions. However, you can gather certain information about the threats you may encounter during operations and report it to the Employee Life Preservation Development Department. If it turns out that a threat, encountered more than once, can be studied and mitigated, Space Extraction Inc. will be able to develop and provide you with the necessary protective items.

* Premature termination of the contract due to limitation of viability and/or disappearance of a Space Extraction Inc. employee while performing work duties is not considered as grounds for registering the employee's right to termination.
** Clients reserve the right not to disclose the reasons for closing their facilities, which serve as destinations for Space Extraction Inc. employees during their missions. However, Space Extraction Inc. cares about its employees, so together with our partners, we have developed and approved a classification of danger levels at terminals of space stations that have ceased their operations. At Space Extraction Inc., we calculated that knowing the threat level while performing work duties can increase employees' chances of successfully completing a mission by 16.34%!
