About This Game

11 Different Roles, One Goal: Kill the Enemy

Play with 4-11 players on a private party with friends or join a public party. Faces & Roles are randomized each round, placing you on either Team Villager or Team Werewolf.

Your Role in More Detail:

Team Werewolf: consists of 1 Werewolf, 1 Traitor, and 1 Pookie (a cunning cat).

  • Werewolf: As the werewolf, you turn during nighttime to begin your hunt in the village. In the morning, you have the option of strategizing with the village’s traitor to agree on who to kill from the villager team

  • Traitor: As the traitor, you not only team up with the werewolf but also become the werewolf yourself if the villagers identify and kill the original werewolf.

*Note to both: Werewolf and Traitor see each other’s names in red for secret collaboration. Beware of eavesdropping villagers when communicating with each other.

  • Pookie: As Pookie, you are an immortal entity. The only thing that stands in your way is the 'Holy Slap'. Your ultimate goal is to help Werewolves win. Remember: don't let the priest catch you. If he gets to slap you, you will die.

Team Villager consists of one or more villagers, depending on player count, along with 1 Guard, 1 Seer, 1 Priest, 1 Witch, 1 Clown, and 1 Insomniac.

  • Villager: You may not have any magical or special powers, however, you play a crucial role in voting and deducing the identities of other players. If you are the last standing against the Werewolves, you will gain a pitchfork at night to defend yourself.

  • Guard: As the guard, your job is to protect an occupied bed each night by setting a protective barrier that blocks the werewolf’s attacks on your team.

  • Seer: As the Seer, you need to visit other players’ houses/rooms at night before the werewolf awakens and use your power to see if they are innocent or guilty. Team Villager players will show up as "Innocent” while Team Werewolf players (Werewolf and Traitor) will show up as "Guilty."

  • Priest: As the priest, you can slap a player once per daytime cycle. If you slap someone guilty (Pookie, Werewolf, Traitor), that person dies. However, if you slap an innocent person, you will die instead.

  • Witch: As the witch, once per daytime cycle you can transform villagers into cursed villagers, who then assist in identifying the werewolf. Green smoke indicates a successful transformation, while red smoke means the target was a werewolf team member. Choose wisely because if you fail, you will die instantly.

  • Cursed Villager: You start as any regular member of the villagers team, but are soon transformed by the witch into a fighter against the werewolf team. If you are not discreet at night, you might get killed by the werewolf and jeopardize your entire team.

  • Clown: You wake up at night and put clown shoes on a sleeping player. These shoes slow down members of the werewolf team and increase the speed of players from the villagers team, aiding their escape if they are hunted by the werewolf.

  • Insomniac: Once you wake up you cannot go back to sleep, so be as stealthy as possible once the hunt begins. Your job is to observe the nocturnal activities of the werewolf team, so you will be supplied with a pitchfork to defend yourself and your fellow villagers against werewolf attacks.

Game Phases:

Day Cycle: During the day, players discuss strategies and vote. The night phase arrives quicker if half the players choose to sleep.

Night Cycle: Specific roles activate one by one to carry out their tasks. The Werewolf acts last, selecting a target to eliminate.

Voting:

If players suspect someone of being a Werewolf, they vote by pulling the rope in the village tower, which rings a bell to start the voting process.

*Note: You cannot use powers or vote on the first day.

Objectives:

Villagers: Identify and eliminate the Werewolf to ensure village safety.

Werewolves: Covertly eliminate villagers without being discovered.

Warning: Everyone looks almost identical

Everyone's character looks strikingly similar, with minimal differences like hair color, and that’s no coincidence. This twist raises the challenge, forcing you to pay attention to details and use communication and behavioral cues to differentiate between friends and foes.

Whether you’re a sneaky Werewolf or a simple villager, your looks won’t help you hide. Use your intuition and observation skills and take note of how everyone behaves— the devil is in the details.
