What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access allows me to get feedback on what features works or needs to be improved upon as well as feedback on what part of the game needs to be more optimized for better performance and even new ideas that i might not have come up with, it also gives me time to add more important core features such as more events and more customization in how the simulation plays out!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“it will most likely be in early access until late 2025.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“i plan to add have multiple planets (most likely mars and the moon) with support of around 10 planets on custom player made maps.
i also plan to add most cities in the world above 250k populations in it as well as cultural/historically important smaller cities, but will prob skip over a few 250k+ cities in countries with a lot of them and add a few smaller cities in countries with fewer big cities to make sure that all countries at least got a few cities.
i also want to add most subdivisions in the world except the ones in countries that are just too small to realistically add them without them being just 1 pixel big.
i want to include a colonization / claiming unclaimed land system both for on earth and in space.
and obviously i plan to add many more basic normal events like different kinds of unions, natural disasters, nuclear bombs, more kinds of wars, civil wars and independence movements”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is playable but still very bare bones, it has events for 1vs1 wars and all vs 1 wars as well as terrain changing events such as floods and ocean draining, and there is also support for custom maps.

there is still some performance issues specially on the bigger maps but it's being constantly worked on and improved upon!”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“As of right now there is no plans to increase the price but developing games and being alive do cost money there might be price increases in the future”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I constantly take on feedback from players, read suggestions and ask questions about balancing
i will also use optional "pre release" versions of the game to have players play new features early when they are still buggy and not fully balanced so that they can help report bugs and give suggestions on balancing before full version releases.

it's easiest to leave feedback on the games discord server as i try my best to read all the feedback posted on there, i do also read the discussions on steam from time to time but not as often.”

EarthRoyale 3 is a simulation map observation game where the aim of the game is to watch as the world turns into chaos in front of your eyes, watch as empires fall, new empires rising, independence movements either failing or succeeding, new land being formed, continents being flooded and turned into oceans truly anything can happen.

The game is pixel based with 3 different map size options:
the big map size is roughly 5x5km per pixel and 8192x4096 pixels big.
the medium map size is roughly 10x10km per pixel and 4096x2049 pixels big.
the small map size is roughly 20x20km per pixel and 2048x1025 pixels big

Each map size also has 4 different base game variant maps
