What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

PixelPop 2087 is a project from the single indie developer StylerFunk Games.

The Alpha Version of the game is needed to let players know what this game is about, and will let me know what to focus on! This version contains the first level (for both Male and Female characters), basic weapons and procedural logis.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Until all the features will be ready, roughly 8-10 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to be able to insert all the features that, for now, I only have in mind.
Part of these features are:
- New melee weapons (e.g. spear and hammer)
- New guns (e.g. fire gun, ice/poison rifle)
- Synergy between different effects (e.g. fire and poison, ice and electricity)
- New items to be used
- New NPCs to interact with
- More detailed Lore”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game presents all the basic functionalities and some low-level enemies and bosses.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to adapt the price to the contents that I will be able to insert in the future.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community will be able to give me any kind of feedback.
The idea is to provide a product aligned with the average feedback received, as I'm already doing during the gaming fairs, where I let players try the game and collect information about their experiences.”

About This Game

PixelPop 2087

The neon-soaked chaos of PixelPop 2087 will guide you in a 2D pixel art adventure where '80s nostalgia meets a dystopian twist from the future!
Set in the retro-futuristic year 2087, this indie gem combines synthwave vibes, explosive action, and quirky storytelling to deliver a cool gaming experience.

The Story

When your partner (who have rare red eyes) gets kidnapped by a shadowy sorcerer with a bizarre obsession for resurrecting forgotten monsters from '80s video games, it’s up to YOU to save the day. These monsters were deleted for being too buggy or just plain weird—and now they’re back, wreaking havoc across the city. Armed with pixel-perfect reflexes, a dash of sarcasm, and some seriously rad gear, you'll embark on a journey through neon-lit alleys, arcades-turned-deathtraps, and surreal, glitchy battlefields.

Pick your hero (male or female), crank up the synthwave soundtrack, and prepare to fight your way through a rogues' gallery of pixelated nightmares. It’s not just a rescue mission—it’s a quest to stop the dark wizard's absurd plan and restore balance to a world that never stopped loving the '80s.
