Only False is a party game that blends bluffing and strategy, spiced up with a dash of dark humor. In Only False, a game for those who can’t get enough lies, you’ll sometimes lie like a politician, and sometimes think as strategically as Sun Tzu.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We chose Early Access because we believe that the best games are created with the community. By releasing the game early, we can involve players in the development process, gather valuable feedback, and refine the gameplay experience based on their insights.

Our goal is to deliver a well-rounded and enjoyable gaming experience, and with the community's support, we are confident that we can achieve this. Early Access is not just a release—it’s a collaborative journey to make Only False the best it can be.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to keep the game in Early Access for approximately 6 months. This time frame will allow us to refine the existing game modes, develop and polish additional content, and incorporate player feedback effectively.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Only False is planned to expand upon the foundation laid during Early Access, offering a more complete and polished experience. While the Early Access version will feature two core game modes, the full release is intended to include all four planned modes, each with unique mechanics and challenges to enhance replayability and player engagement.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, the game features 2 game modes, 4 distinct characters, each with unique designs and personalities to enhance the gameplay experience. Additionally, the game includes an anti-cheat system to ensure fair play and maintain a competitive environment.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the game will be priced lower during Early Access to reflect its work-in-progress state and to encourage more players to join us on this journey. This lower price provides an opportunity for early adopters to experience the game and contribute feedback as we refine and expand its features.

As we move toward the full release, with additional content, improved polish, and more game modes, the price is expected to increase. We believe this approach rewards our early supporters while reflecting the value of the completed version of Only False.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community by actively gathering feedback through in-game surveys, forums, and social media, using it to refine gameplay and address issues. Regular updates and polls will keep players informed and engaged, while their creative input will help shape new features. Together, we aim to create a game that truly reflects the players' vision and expectations.”

About This Game

Only False will be hitting the shelves in Early Access with (for now) two different game modes: Rotten Deck, for those who thrive on a whirlwind of lies, and Rock Paper Scissors: Minus One, which strategy enthusiasts will love.

While Early Access continues, we plan to add two more modes: a simplified poker variant and a surprise card game that up to 8 people can play at once. We’re keeping further details about that second mode under wraps for now! =)

Played with a standard deck of playing cards, this bluff-based mode has players fighting for survival through a penalty we call “Chinese Roulette,” rather than the typical Russian Roulette. In Russian Roulette, getting hit by the bullet is all about chance, but in Chinese Roulette, you pay the price of your own decisions. =)

Goal of the Game: Get rid of all the cards in your hand before you die and be the last one standing — yes, it’s a bit challenging.

Supported Number of Players: 2–4

How to Play

  • At the start of the round, the table card is determined randomly.

  • Players choose a card from their hand, place it face down on the table, and bluff.

  • The next player can choose to check the authenticity of the cards placed on the table.

  • If a player is caught bluffing or falsely accuses someone of bluffing, they must choose one of the triggers that activates a deadly trap, and this choice will determine their fate.

  • If the chosen trigger activates a trap, the player who made the selection dies, and the other players continue the game. If the trap is not triggered, the game continues with the same players.

The name says it all. For those who haven’t heard of it, think of it as a two-handed twist on Rock-Paper-Scissors.

Goal of the Game: Stay alive!

Supported Number of Players: 2

How to Play

At the start of each round, each player declares which sign they want to use for each hand.

Both players present their hands simultaneously.

After one second, each player pulls back one of their hands.

The loser faces the thrill of Russian Roulette by courtesy of the owner of the “Mouse Bar.” The game continues until one player dies.

Each character has a unique story and attitude, bringing a different energy to the table every time.

Lennie: Forget everything you know(!) To handle Lennie, you’ve got to be on his level—mentally, that is!

Mrs. Pearl: Impressive, charming, and sweet as honey. Sitting at the same table with her is truly an honor.

Slick Rick: Don’t ask him about his shady past, especially how he got that nickname… Slick Rick is a slippery master of lies.

Hank the Mush: If you spot this shady mushroom in dark, damp corners, hold your breath and go the other way.

We can’t protect against your bluffs or your best “poker face,” but for everything else, we rely on Easy Anti Cheat. You won’t see bizarre things here like elongated necks or self-flying chairs (OooOOOoO). If you do spot something like that, don’t hesitate to report it! We promise to remove any disruptive players from the game as soon as possible.

Regular Updates

BY THE POWER OF EARLY ACCESS! Two multiplayer game modes are already part of our roadmap. In addition, throughout Early Access, we’ll be gathering your requests via Discord, the Steam Community Page, and even Whatsapp (! Bluff) to add different modes, new characters, and character skins to the game.
