About This Game

Saudade is a puzzle narrative solo game in 3D isometric view that invites you to exploration in a cosy and warm ambiance !

In Saudade, you accompany Ernestina in the exploration of her own memory. After leaving it more than five decades ago, she now comes back to Pampilhal, her childhood village to fulfil her dream. But she does not have a lot of time. After a few minutes, she is pulled out of her memories. Whenever she comes back, she appears in the middle of the countryside and all the modifications she brought to the environment remain.

Her objective is to explore the region of her childhood during the dictatorship. To do so, she will receive the help of childhood friends, family members and other inhabitants of the village. She also has a variety of tools to progress through the Portuguese landscape.

An adventure that mixes up cleverness and nostalgia

• Explore Ernestina’s memories at your own pace. Take as many loops as necessary, follow your intuition and maybe you’ll find a secret !

  

• The ladders scattered around the countryside and the village will be useful for Ernestina in her adventure. Use them to create shortcuts and new paths through nature !

• Ernestina has always wanted to sail on the boats of the fishermen of her village but was never allowed. One day, she decided to make one for herself. Find fragments of a sailing boat and relive strong recollections of Ernestina’s past !

• Be careful of the tide, it may block your way. But remain attentive, it may unveil secrets hidden under water !

  

• Help the villagers in their quests ! They have stories to tell and rewards to help you in your adventure !

• For Ernestina, the candies are synonymous of nostalgia ! Use them to acquire more time and flexibility during the loop !

  

• Ernestina always admired birds ! They are a symbol of freedom and several species live around Pampilhal. Use tools and patience to attract them and draw them in your notebook !
