What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The goal to propose my game in early access is to have an experience return from players to improve the technical functionning of the game. In the same way, the possibility to generate income with the sales of an early access is to progress more quickly in the developpment. Indeed, with this income it will be possible for me to use subcontractors more regularly (graphic designers...) and thus to release a final version within 6 months maximum.

I am the only developer involved in the project to create this video game and it is not my only source of income but a passion that could one day complement it.

So, whatever the number of sales made, and whatever the pace at which they are made, I will continue to develop this game until I obtain a final version, bug-free and more extensive, in a time frame that I estimate at about 1 year.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“From 6 to 12 months.

Indeed, if the sales allow it, I could use subcontractors quickly and would have finished it in 6 months, on the other hand, if the sales were not made, I would have to reduce the use of subcontractors and it would then take me about 12 months to complete the entire development of the game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the final version the multiplayer will be perfectly optimized and stable.

Many quests will be added and the second half of the scenario will be implemented.

Depending on the volume of sales we will be able to add visual effects and more graphics and animations.

In the event that the sales volume is very low or non-existent, then the game will come out with all the current gameplay elements. However, the graphic and visual improvements will be less and the quality of the staging will be the same as today.
In any case, a final version of the game will be released within 1 year thanks to an unlimited motivation, and especially the time and energy I put into this personal work that I am passionate about.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is currently working, all the final mechanics are implemented, it remains to refine the details, make all this more ergonomic, but all the mechanics and features of the game are already working (political-economic system, crafting, housing...).”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will certainly not be more expensive in its final version”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“You can leave me any kind of comment on my different contact addresses or on the game discord.

All experiences / opinions / advices are good to take to improve the game.”

About This Game

Snow Ash Land is a multiplayer post-apocalyptic top-down shooter game with rpg mechanics and survival in semi-open world. It simulates a dying society in a post-apocalyptic world. Guided by factions with very different ideologies, the player can choose to help rebuild civilization or destroy humanity.

There's a lot of interractions between players in multiplayer mode : Guilds, pvp territory wars, resources and informations exchanges, language, politics, economy, building...

Each player can be a piece of a huge whole, choose a profession with its importance in the workings of the political and economic system of the game, whose effectiveness and utility will depend on the professions of the other players.

You will need each other to do your job effectively and succeed in creating some semblance of economic and social stability or you can be part of those who want the end of old societies.

The game will have a strong dominant roleplay ,but without frustrating players who would simply like to fight and play competitively ,they will be able to choose a faction in which they can compete against each other without suffering any malus or bonus.

As for players who wanted to play more in the atmosphere of the game, they can choose a simple citizen job so they will be protected by bonuses that will make others think twice before shoot them.

The player will have to explore the world to understand the past, how the world became what it is today. Some characters are the keys to history, they will give the player a lot of information to understand. With these elements it will then be possible to make choices, to decide which faction defends the path that you think is best.....
